Making a yearbook is hard, but very rewarding work. Here are some quick tips for making your yearbook the best it can be.

1.Decide on a Theme. This is usually easier said than done, but be done it must. It is hard to put the school year into perspective before it has happened, or while it is happening, so you are going to have to put some real though into what you think might hold your classmates’ interest for the entire year. Putting together a book of your poems, whether for self-publishing or sending to a publisher, can take a lot of time and effort – and it should. Here are a few things to keep in mind when you are creating your own poetry book.

1.Since you will naturally want to keep your book to one poem per page (except, of course for longer works), it should be relatively easy to estimate the number of pages your finished book will be. Those that are around 30 or fewer pages are what is known as chapbooks, while fifty pages or more would constitute a full-length book. It all depends, of course, upon how much work you have that you consider ready for the world, and on how you want to present it. While full-length books should be perfect-bound in soft or hard covers, chapbooks can generally have a more casual feel to them. The Mockup.

When you have an idea of hoe many products you have to sell, start creating some sample pages, either in a software program such as (Quark Xpress or Adobe Indesign) or by merely sketching them out on the size of paper you intend to use. The Copy.

You have to use enough space to make the case for the product without taking up too much space – a fine line indeed. In order to make your catalog as entertaining as possible, you might want to include such things as testimonials, lots of graphics, story sidebars and special offers. There are no hard and fast rules here except for one: make them want to open it. Make your photographs include a person or people living the good life with your product. The Order Form.

Do not take this lightly! There are too many things to take into account when you are putting together an order form.
